Jessica's work is focused on creating visual narratives that carves room for playful inquiry —
a space to embrace the quirks and idiosyncrasies of your divine Self.
In an expedition of trial and error, it remains clear to me that most of my ideas come through when I'm in transit.
New and unfamiliar places encourage me to play with my inner child, moving towards what feels yet to be noticed and explored
within different cultures, how lives respond to their environment, and the subtle scenes of every day.
The quest to explore life's bigger questions came through like a wave, though I didn't always know how it would manifest. From adolescence, and my first time holding a 1985 National Geographic thread, I've felt pulled to document humans, animals and landscapes on an ever-evolving level. Fast forward in my timeline, after cultivating a background in Design & Visual Communications, I felt directed to pursue an academic career in psychological theory & mental health — and I could feel the entwinement at play — transforming a niche from pure desire to capture the aesthetic into a bleeding heart for storytelling. In my early twenties, I often gravitated towards holistic philosophy and developed varying camera & editing experience after a spontaneous trip to Venice Beach in 2016.
Today, through documentary & lifestyle photography, I create an open and dynamic space for you to tap deeper into your authenticity. Whether it be capturing presence in your life's work, sweetest relationship, or the sacred study of yourself, I believe the practice of consciously expressing and experiencing our full selves is nourishing and essential to our individual and collective evolution. Learning how others feel connected or a shift in perspective through these images and personal stories—even if it’s just one person—not only fuels more conversation, but supports an understanding that we are all connected as one. Sharing ideas, art and vulnerability with our collective has evidently created genuine & lasting marks in and beyond our personal worlds.
